Clinical Supervision for CSWAs in Oregon

Stepping into the social work field can feel equal parts exciting and overwhelming. Whether you already know you want to dive into high-stakes environments like crisis intervention and medical social work, or you’re still trying to figure out exactly where you fit, building a solid foundation is the first step. You don’t need to have your entire career mapped out on day one—you just need space to figure it out.

As an Oregon Board-Approved LCSW Supervisor, my goal is to give you the practical clinical tools, ethical grounding, and real-world boundaries you need to thrive—not just survive—in this profession.

My own background is rooted in acute, high-pressure environments—including the Multnomah County Detention Center (MCDC), Legacy Emanuel Trauma One Medical Center’s Emergency Department, and the legal system in New York City. I know firsthand how fast things can move and how heavy the work can get. But more importantly, I know how crucial it is to figure out what you want from this career before the job decides it for you.

Wherever you are in your journey, our supervision sessions will be a collaborative space focused on:

  • Finding Your Clinical Voice: Exploring different practice settings and populations to help you discover what truly lights you up (and what doesn’t).
  • Gaining Practical Confidence: Developing solid diagnostic, risk-assessment, and triage skills you can use in any environment.
  • Navigating Real-World Complexities: Unpacking mental health law, ethical gray areas, and workplace dynamics with confidence.
  • Protecting Your Energy: Learning how to manage stress and prevent burnout early on, so you can build a long, sustainable career you love.
